Remnant of the original Old Naches Trace, an old, originally indian, then French, then British, then Colonial 500 mile trade and travel trail from roughly Memphis, TN to Naches, MS on the lower Mississippi.
The "Trace" has now been memorialized by the incredibly beautiful and interesting Naches Trace Hiway, a US National Park 2 lane, 500 mile highway on and paralleling the old Trace. 50 mph speed limit, no commercial vehicles or ANY advertising or signing other than minimal traffic directions. There are numerous pull-outs to historical sites along the way.
Incredibly beautiful to drive on, just the road and the natural countryside, this is something for next visit to enjoy in greater detail.
